Tyler, currently a sophomore at St. Margaret's Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, California, is active in and passionate about many school-led and extracurricular activities. When not focusing on his schoolwork, Tyler likes to involve himself in the Tartan Debate Club, as well as his school's division of Model United Nations (MUN) where he is one of their Officers of Operations. With his MUN team, Tyler recently travelled to Cornell University to participate in their conference as the representative of Spain in the Security Council.
After receiving his black belt in Wado-Ryu karate in 2013, Tyler shifted his focus to his earning his Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 772 in Laguna Niguel, California. Currently a Life Scout, Tyler hopes to finish his Eagle Scout this summer, achieving a personal goal of his after several years of hard yet rewarding work.
Having called Southern California his home all his life, Tyler has grown accustomed to 70-degree winters, and weekend beach days are a commonplace in the Genevay household. Although the water isn't always the warmest, Tyler loves to enjoy the sand with his father Jay, mother Kathy, sister Samantha and family pet, a Pomeranian named Mochi.
