Tom Genossar is general manager of SOSA, the "town square" of Israel's booming tech sector. Occupying four stories of a vintage industrial building in a neighborhood traditionally known for its workshops, warehouses and wholesale vendors, the area South of Saleme (SOSA) in Tel Aviv has attracted a steady stream of artists, designers and, of course, techs over the last few years. SOSA was conceived as a multi-dimensional platform designed to nurture and support the vibrant startup ecosystem.
Tom manages SOSA's strategy and operations, creating value-added opportunities—highly personalized introductions— for promising startups, prominent technology companies, leading investors and top service providers. Previously, she worked as community manager at Zula, a VoIP mobile app to help on-the-go teams be more productive on-the-go. She has also worked on programs promoting young Israeli artists.
Tom holds a B.Sc in Biology from Tel Aviv University as well as a private pilot's license. For her military service, she served as a navigation and camouflage commander in the intelligence forces.
