Peter is an executive business strategist with more than 30 years of experience developing and driving high-growth strategies for companies in the US, Asia Pacific and Europe. He has advised executive teams at a range of enterprises, from emerging businesses to Global Fortune 500 companies. He has held senior leadership roles at global companies, including General Electric and Computer Associates.
In addition to his corporate experience, Peter is a serial entrepreneur. He has served as CEO/President for two emerging technology companies and as a Co-Founder for an enterprise software services company. He continues to be an active advisor to startups and co-authored “The Growth Champions: The Battle for Sustained Innovation Leadership” (Wiley).
Peter is a leading authority on business innovation, with a particular focus on social license in the resource and energy sectors. He co-chairs—with the Mark Cutifani, CEO of Anglo American—an initiative designed to help the resources sector redefine and transform its approach to business and technology and positively impact social license. He is also co-chairing a similar initiative for the unconventional oil and gas industry.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand. He holds a CA from the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is on the Board of Advisors for the Canadian-based venture fund, Chrysalix and the World Economic Forum's Sustainability 2050 initiative.
