Colonel Michael Musso, U.S. Army, is Kellogg’s third Chief of Staff Army Senior Fellow. Col. Musso has served over 26 years at the operational and strategic level in the Army and Department of Defense, including three combat tours. He began as an infantry officer, but spent the last 16 years as a Force Management Officer, specializing in the planning and implementation of organizational change across the national defense enterprise.
Col. Musso comes to Kellogg after serving two years as the Senior Advisor for Force Planning in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Policy). There he helped to develop and implement the current United States defense strategy, and policy and organizational development initiatives impacting the capabilities and capacity of the United States Armed Forces.
His mission at Kellogg is to represent the Army Chief of Staff as a strategic scout and ambassador, advising the Army’s Executive Leadership on emerging opportunities and challenges, while cultivating enduring relationships and fostering a greater understanding of the Army.
Col. Musso’s advanced education includes a BS in Business Administration, an MS in National Resource Strategy and an MA in Organizational Leadership.
