Jeff is the Founding Chairman and first CEO of Orbitz Worldwide, which he led from its startup in July of 2000, through its IPO in 2003 and the sale of the company in late 2004. He served for nearly 20 years in various executive roles at American Airlines, including President of the SABRE airline reservations network. From 1997-mid 2000 Jeff served as CEO of Zurich-based Swissair during its transition to a deregulated European airline environment.
Jeff also has served as Chairman and CEO of Leapfrog Enterprises, the educational tech-toy company known for its mobile learn-to-read devices (2006-2011) and most recently was CEO of Nextag/Wize Commerce a global e-commerce developer of retail products price comparison applications for shoppers until its sale in mid-2014.
Jeff has served on the boards of Orbitz. LeapFrog Enterprises, Northwest Airlines (prior to its merger with Delta Airlines), and Digital River. He now serves on the board of R.R. Donnelley and CA Technologies.
He is currently leading the development of Dihedral, a purpose-built-for-travel worldwide web concept. In his off-duty hours he is an avid trail runner, skier, pilot, and hopes to ascend the Matterhorn this summer.
